CHICAGO (WLS) -- Abbott and the Big Ten return Tuesday with an annual blood drive at Wrigley Field, ahead of the Northwestern vs. Michigan game on Saturday.

It's a conference wide competition to help the blood drive shortage.

The winning college will receive $1 million dollars toward students and community health.

The winner will be announced at the Discover Big Ten Championship game on December 6.

Anyone who donates blood at any donation site through December 5 can have their donation count towards the competition and the school of their choice, as long as they upload proof to BigTen.org/Abbott.

Those wishing to donate can do so at Wrigley Field, entering Gallagher Way offices, on Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Walk-ins are welcome, but if you wish to sign up, click here.

All donors will get exclusive access to football field at Wrigley for an up-close photo opportunity to commemorate the weekend.
