The Shedd Aquarium is behind a program that puts you out on the water to learn about conserving and developing the waterway that runs through the heart of the city, and beyond.
It's called Kayak for Conservation.

Zee was near the north branch of the Chicago River Wednesday.
She talked about the program that gives people a "boat-side" view of what all can do to preserve and improve the urban waterway.
Kayakers could even see the Chicago River's famed snapping turtle during their eco tours.
