Both the Chicago Cubs and White Sox are in prime position to earn a playoff spot, with the Sox leading the American League Central Division by three games over the Cleveland Guardians. College football has kicked off, and the University of Illinois Fighting Illini opened up their season with a big 42-23 win against UAB. The Illini didn't miss a beat with a new quarterback, Katin Houser, calling the plays.
Meanwhile, Northwestern University is ready for their first game of the season when they take on the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Head coach David Braun says that although they are an FCS team they will give the Wildcats a great test and they'll find out a lot about their football team after playing them.
