Travel-sized Afrin nasal spray recalled by drugmaker

Drugmaker Bayer recalled its travel-sized Afrin Original Nasal Spray because of a problem with its packaging.

The medicine comes in a container that does not have child-resistant top.

That poses a health risk if a child were to swallow the content.

No other sizes were impacted by the recall.

The .02 oz size was mainly sold at convenience stores or travel hubs like airports and bodegas.

The recalled-product was not sold at major retailers such as Walmart, Target or amazon.com, according to Bayer.

Consumers were asked to throw those travel-sized bottles away.

Bayer says refunds can be requested at livewell.bayer.com/afrin-spray-recall-refund-form
