Michael D. Elkin issued a second statement saying that Mack has not been charged and has been physically assaulted while in custody. He also said in the statement that Mack is approximately two months pregnant, has been threatened with deprivation of food and water and that a translator provided for her was a private detective.
Indonesian police found Sheila Von Weise-Mack's body inside a suitcase in a taxi cab.
Police say they found evidence linking her daughter Heather and her boyfriend, Tommy Schaefer to the murder.
If convicted in Bali, they could face death by a firing squad.
Elkin says the two are innocent.
