AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- Aurora Restaurant Week is back for its second year, inviting diners to explore the city's growing food scene with special prix-fixe menus and limited-time offerings from local restaurants.

City officials say the inaugural event drew strong interest from both residents and visitors, prompting an expanded return in 2026. Downtown Economic Development Manager Danielle Tufano said Restaurant Week is designed to showcase Aurora as a regional dining destination while supporting local businesses.

Among the participating restaurants is Giardino Trattoria & Pizzeria, where Head Chef Martin Balderas is serving classic Italian dishes crafted specifically for Restaurant Week. Balderas says the event is a great opportunity for first-time diners to sample signature menu items at a set price.

Aurora Restaurant Week runs for a limited time and features a range of cuisines across the city. More information, including participating restaurants and menus, is available at AuroraRestaurantWeek.com.
