From basketball to Blackhawks, baseball to street fests, the city will be busy.
The WNBA All-Stars are in town. They got some shots in at a regulation-size basketball court at the Obama Presidential Center.
The WNBA is marking its 30th season the Windy City way.
The league's best and brightest are coming to Chicago for the All-Star Game.
And although no Chicago Sky players are on the roster, fans can still enjoy plenty of activities that celebrate the league and women's sports.
Well before Saturday's tip-off, fans are ready to play as the WNBA's All-Star Weekend gets underway.
The All-Star Game spotlights some of the league's biggest superstars.
While former Chicago Sky and current Atlanta Dream player Angel Reese was selected as an All-Star Reserve, the Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark was voted in as a starter.
But taking center court at McCormick Place will be WNBA Live, an interactive fan festival featuring special appearances and more.
"You want to pick up a ball and shoot, if you want to take photo ops, if you want customized merch, there is so many different things that fans can do here" said Amanda Allhouse, WNBA senior director.
Former President Barack Obama met with all the All-Star team players on the basketball court located at his presidential center.
"Congratulations on the WNBA - I could not be prouder of what you guys are doing," Obama said.
This is the second time Chicago has hosted the game.
Like in past years, along with the premier event, the goal is to deliver an unforgettable fan experience.
"I just love basketball in general so seeing all of it and playing, it's fun to me," fan Jimmy Hanson said. "Any kind of basketball skill is great."
