Thomas Philip, 73 of Woodridge was charged with four counts of aggravated fleeing a police officer, the DuPage County State's Attorney said.
Philip was allegedly driving without a valid driver's license and his vehicle did not have insurance.
Officials said Bensenville police tried to pull over Philip for an expired registration on a gold Lexus in the 400-block of West Irving Park Road.
However, the suspect allegedly sped away and "drove into oncoming traffic on multiple occasions."
