CHICAGO (WLS) -- A body pulled from Lake Michigan near Indiana back in May has been identified as a missing person from Chicago, officials said on Friday.
Crews recovered the remains from the water about 2 miles offshore from Central Beach on May 10.
Officials used DNA from a family member to identify the remains as 20-year-old Adan Carrera Sanches, of Chicago, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources said.
Loved ones reported Carrera Sanches missing to the Stone Park Police Department in January.
