Body pulled from Lake Michigan near Oak Street Beach downtown, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A body was pulled from Lake Michigan Friday afternoon near a downtown beach, Chicago police said.

Chopper 7 was over the scene near Oak Street Beach.



Multiple first responders could be seen near the shoreline.

The Chicago Police Department Marine Unit recovered a male body that was spotted in the water around 3:54 p.m., CPD said. The person's exact age and his identity have not been released.



No further information immediately available.
