WILMINGTON, Ill. (WLS) -- The body of a 12-year-old boy was pulled from the Kankakee River near Wilmington Wednesday afternoon.

Crews had been searching for Eder Arroyo, of Joliet, since Monday. He fell into the water while his family was having a cookout at nearby South Island Park.
His 13-year-old sister Abiyail went into the water to try to save him, but both got trapped along the dam wall. Abiyail's body was found that night.
