Thieves break into Bronzeville business, steal two cash registers and 27 cases of liquor

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thieves stole two cash registers from a South Side liquor store early Sunday morning, Chicago police said.

It happened at Ziad Certified Liquor on 47th Street near Vincennes Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood.



Three thieves broke in through the rear door around 5:30 a.m., police said.

They got away with two cash registers and 27 cases of liquor, according to the owner.



Police said the thieves fled the scene in a white SUV and a white car.

Area One detectives are investigating.
