According to Campbell's State of the Sides Report, 63% enjoy side dishes over turkey.
The top five side dishes are:
- Stuffing -- or maybe you call it dressing
- Mashed potatoes
- Sweet potatoes
- Mac and cheese
- Green bean casserole
Green bean casserole came in fifth, with 44% calling it the "most iconic" Thanksgiving side.
Also, half the country, especially Gen Z, says mac and cheese should be a staple at every holiday table.
More than 80% of Americans say preparing holiday dishes is how they show love for family and friends.
