5 in custody after chase on I-80 involving U-Haul truck with stolen Amazon boxes, police say

CHANNAHON, Ill. (WLS) -- Five people were taken into custody after a police chase on I-80 involving a U-Haul packed with stolen Amazon boxes.



Investigators said the suspects swiped more than $30,000 worth of packages from a Channahon Amazon facility. Then, they took off in two vehicles.

Spike strips took out their tires on I-80, ending the chase.

Police said the suspects are facing multiple charges.
