CHICAGO (WLS) -- Charges were filed late Thursday in connection with a nearly 21-hour standoff with police earlier this week in south suburban Harvey.
David Jordan, 40, of Dixmoor, and Peter Williams, 42, of Chicago, are facing several charges, including attempted murder of a police officer, home invasion, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated criminal sexual assault.
Six children and two adults were taken hostage around 1 p.m. Tuesday, after police responded to a call of burglary in progress. Four boys, ages 1 to 11, were released throughout the day on Tuesday. The final four hostages, two girls and two women, were not released until 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, after a SWAT team swarmed the home in the 14700-block of Seely Avenue.
Jordan and Williams are expected in bond court on Friday morning.
