Chesterton, Indiana police officer charged with domestic battery, strangling pregnant woman: Records

CHESTERTON, Ind. (WLS) -- A Northwest Indiana police officer is off the job as he is facing allegations of domestic battery and strangling a pregnant woman, court records showed.



Chesterton, Indiana Police Officer Ryan Joseph Miller is charged with "Domestic Battery w/ Bodily Injury Pregnant Woman" and "Strangulation - Victim is pregnant."

Town leaders say Miller was already on administrative leave at the time of his arrest.

Miller will remain on leave while the investigation continues.
