1 killed in I-294 motorcycle crash, Illinois State Police say

MIDLOTHIAN, Ill. (WLS) -- One person was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle in on the Tri-State Tollway in the south suburbs Tuesday morning, Illinois State Police said.

The crash occurred at about 1:29 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-294.



Police said a motorcycle and a commercial vehicle were involved in the crash.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene.



All southbound lanes were shut down between 159th Street and Cicero Avenue as police investigated. Lanes reopened around 5:15 a.m.
