ATV driver killed in wrong-way crash on I-55 in south suburbs, ISP says

WILL COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- The rider of an ATV was killed after allegedly driving the wrong-way crash on I-55 in the south suburbs, Illinois State Police said.



The crash happened at about 4:46 a.m. near Route 30 in Will County.

Police said the driver of an ATV was driving northbound on the southbound lanes of I-55.

The driver then crashed with a vehicle just north of Black Road.



ISP said the driver of the ATV died in the crash.

No other information was available.
