BALI, Indonesia (WLS) -- The attorney of Heather Mack, the Chicago woman accused of killing her mother in Indonesia, said she is not being allowed to meet with her legal team.

Chicago-based attorney Michael Elkin said the 19-year-old has not been allowed to meet with local personnel working on her case, despite her wishes to cooperate with investigators.

Mack and her boyfriend, 21-year-old Tommy Schaefer, are both suspected of killing her mother, Sheila von Wiese-Mack, at a resort hotel in Bali. Indonesian police found the 62-year-old victim's body inside a suitcase in a taxi cab.

She and Schaefer could face death by firing squad if found guilty.
