CHICAGO (WLS) -- Tuesday, September 16 is National Barber Day, a moment to recognize barbers for more than just fresh fades and sharp shaves.
Devon "Dev the Barber" McGee, owner of Nellie's Place in Chicago, says the work is about confidence and connection as much as cutting hair. "When someone leaves your chair, you want them to feel like their best self," he said.
McGee, who appeared on ABC7 Eyewitness News 7 a.m. newscast, shared grooming tips and advice for aspiring barbers, while hinting at plans to expand his shop and mentor the next generation.
