Chicago Board of Education votes to revoke charter for ASPIRA Network schools

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Board of Education has voted unanimously to revoke the charter of the ASPIRA charter school network.



Two ASPIRA high schools on the Northwest Side were already set to close.

District officials said ASPIRA ran out of funding and that the schools did not have enough money to finish out the year.
