CHICAGO (WLS) -- A church's front facade partially collapsed during Sunday Mass on the city's South Side, officials said.

The collapse happened around 10:45 a.m. in at Sacred Heart Church, 11652 S. Church St., in Morgan Park, Chicago Alderman Matt O'Shea said.

Father Sasso gave the final blessing during Mass just before the brick facade collapsed, Sacred Heart Mission said. All parishioners were able to evacuate the church quickly and there were no injuries reported.

"Sacred Heart has been a part of the Morgan Park community since 1904," Ald. O'Shea said.

The Chicago Department of Buildings responded to the scene.
