Van crashes into Garfield Park liquor store; CFD says multiple hurt

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Multiple people were hurt after a van crashed into a Chicago liquor store on Thursday, a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson said.



The crash happened at about 12:40 p.m. at L&J Liquor at 260 N Pulaski Road, Chicago police said.



CPD said a 54-year-old man was driving the van eastbound on Lake Street when he crashed into a Toyota sedan.



The van then crashed into the business, police said.

Police said three people inside the business were hurt in the crash,: two men aged 63 and 69, a 44-year-old woman. All were expected to be OK.

The 54-year-old male driver was taken to Mt. Sinai in good condition.

CPD said the driver of the van was issued multiple citations.
