Chicago police said the crash happened Monday at 1:19 a.m. in the 2400-block of N. Central Avenue.
Video shows a white vehicle on its side, and another car with heavy damaged at the intersection.
CPD said a 23-year-old man was driving a Ford van when he allegedly ran a red light and crashed into a Honda Accord.
The 23-year-old crashed into a pole, he was taken to Loyola Hospital in good condition.
He was also issued citations for speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle.
The 44-year-old man driving the Honda was cited for also driving an uninsured vehicle, police said.
No other injuries were reported.
