CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thieves hit a Foot Locker store in Chicago for the second time this week.

There is growing frustration after what appeared to be targeted retail thefts, and there is also growing concern about potential impact to shoppers and residents.

The most recent crime happened on Thursday at about 3:10 a.m. in the 800-block of N. Kedzie Avenue, police said.

A group of multiple suspects crashed a vehicle into the store, police said. The group fled the scene in the vehicle in an unknown direction with items.

No injuries were reported, police said.

After the crime, staff cleaned up broken glass at the Foot Locker store at Chicago Kedzie Plaza.

"It's frustrating, it's frustrating," said Shaunti Althoff with Matanky Realty.

The second burglary comes after a Foot Locker in West Englewood at was targeted Tuesday at 4:15 a.m. Surveillance video of that theft shows the method the young thieves use to smash through the store and grab what they can.

Althoff is the property manager for both properties. She says repairing the damage is far more expensive than replacing the stolen merchandise.

"It is organized crime that's what we are facing it is not petty theft," Althoff said.

Althoff shares that all consumers pay the price of retail loss.

"We are all paying for this, each retailer," Althoff said. "You think you are getting 20% off. Well, that 20% off is already covering that lost inventory."

She fears what's could happen if the offenders are not stopped.

"If there's enough crime, big retailers, national retailers, they pull out of the shopping centers, they discontinue their lease they leave vacancies, and as a result you end up with communities that don't have the services or the goods," Althoff said.

No one is in custody. CPD Area Four Detectives are investigating.
