Man killed, 2 others seriously injured in shooting near food mart on South Side, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three men were shot, one fatally, Friday afternoon on Chicago's South Side, officials said.

The shooting happened in the 300 block of West 75th Street near South Harvard Avenue in Greater Grand Crossing.

Dozens of evidence markers could be seen near and inside a food mart.



Multiple offenders with firearms got out of a sedan and fired shots at 31-year-old man, who shot multiple times and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Chicago police said. His identity has not been released.



Two other men, ages 40 and 48, where also shot. They were taken to hospitals in serious condition, CPD said.

No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
