Man critically injured in stabbing near CTA Blue Line station on West Side, fire officials say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- There was a massive crime scene Friday evening on the Chicago's West Side after someone was stabbed near a CTA Blue Line station.

The stabbing happened in the 600 block of South Cicero Avenue.



Chicago Fire Department officials said a 39-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and chest. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Chicago police could be seen investigating at a CTA Blue Line train station.



No further information was immediately available.
