Man killed, 2 others hurt in Bronzeville shooting, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a deadly shooting on the city's South Side.



The shooting happened on Saturday at about 9:05 p.m. near 38th Street and Indiana Avenue, according to police.

CPD said the three men were outside when someone shot at them and ran away.

A 39-year-old man was shot in the chest and was taken to University of Chicago Hospital, where he died.



A man, whose age was not immediately known, was shot in the neck. CPD said he was taken to Insight Hospital in critical condition.

A 35-year-old man was shot in the left knee; he is expected to be OK.

No other information was immediately available.

Chicago police are investigating.
