Man hit, killed in Rogers Park; Chicago police searching for SUV involved

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An SUV hit and killed a pedestrian before driving away Wednesday night on Chicago's North Side, Chicago police said Friday in a crime alert.

A dark gray 2018 Buick Encore hit the pedestrian in the roadway in the 1400-block of West Estes Avenue in Rogers Park about 7:30 p.m., police said.



The vehicle has an Illinois license plate that reads CQ19696, CPD said.

Police said the person killed was a 46-year-old man. He was found with head wounds, CPD said.
