Man charged after 2 women hit inappropriately at West Ridge Nature Park, Chicago police say

Same man charged with battery against 3rd woman

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 22-year-old Chicago man has been charged with aggravated battery in a public place after two women were hit inappropriately earlier this month at a North Side park.

Noaman Patel was arrested Tuesday near his home, Chicago police said.



They said he battered female victims in public places at the following locations:

- A 53-year-old woman in the 5800-block of North Western Avenue Aug. 4
- A 33-year-old woman in the 5800-block of North Western Avenue Aug. 6
- A 29-year-old woman in the 6100-block of North Maplewood Avenue Aug. 14

Chicago police previously said the same man is responsible for attacking two women this week at West Ridge Nature Park.

Residents are encouraged to call 911 or 833-NAMI-CHI if they feel unsafe. Local Ald. Andre Vasquez also highlighted the Chicago Rape Crisis Hotline at 1-888-293-2080 and Resilience Chicago.



Patel was due in court Thursday.
