7 hurt in Bronzeville drive-by shooting, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured at least 7 people on Saturday night.



The shooting happened at about 11:10 p.m. in the 3500-block of S. State Street, police said.

Police said that a group of men drove by the crowd victims and at least one person started shooting.

All victims were taken to area hospitals and are expected to be OK, according to police.



A 28-year-old woman was shot in the left thigh and a 30-year-old woman was shot in the right knee.

A 30-year-old man was shot in the right leg; another 30-year-old man was shot in the left thigh; a 31-year-old man was shot in the left foot; a 32-year-old man was shot in the left thigh, and a 28-year-old man was shot to the buttocks, police said.

Nobody is in custody.

Police are also investigating a drive-by shooting in Humboldt Park that hurt at least four people.
