The incident took place at about 2:29 a.m. in the 3200-block of West Addison Street.
Police said four suspects crashed a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee into the BP gas station.
After stealing an ATM inside the gas station, police said the suspects got into a second vehicle, a dark-colored SUV, and fled the scene, leaving the Jeep crashed at the scene.
There was another crash and grab about a mile away at a laundromat. Police have not yet linked the two crimes.
Police said an SUV plowed into the Soap Box Laundry at about 2:05 a.m. in the 3200-block of North Pulaski Road.
Police said the thieves tried to steal an ATM, but couldn't remove it. The suspects took off in another vehicle and are not in custody.
