The crash happened at about 5:25 a.m. at 31st Street and Halsted Street in the Bridgeport neighborhood.
Video shows a black pickup truck with extensive damage.
CPD said the officers had their emergency lights on as they were heading northbound when they crashed with the pickup truck.
According to police, the pickup truck was heading eastbound.
Both CPD officers were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.
The 28-year-old man who was driving the pickup was taken to Stroger Hospital and was expected to be OK.
It was not immediately clear if any citations or charges were pending.
