CFD responding to report of person in Chicago River on Southwest Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Fire Department is responding to a report of a person in the Chicago River on the city's Southwest Side on Friday morning.

Chopper 7 was over the scene near West 23rd and South Halsted streets around 7:30 a.m.



That's near the South Loop, Chinatown, and Pilsen neighborhoods.

Crews could be seen staging in a nearby Amazon facility's parking lot.



Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
