2 wounded in Gage Park shooting, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two men were injured in a shooting in Gage Park Thursday morning, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 12:50 a.m. in the South Spaulding Avenue.



Police said an two men, ages 18, and 25, were standing outside when someone in a black vehicles fired shots at them.

The 25-year-old man was shot in the back and hand and transported to Advocate Christ Hospital in critical condition, police said.



The 18-year-old man was shot in the hand and transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

The suspects fled in an unknown direction, police said. Area One detectives are investigating.
