3 shot, 1 fatally, in Lawndale shooting, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A shooting in the Lawndale neighborhood left one man dead and two other people wounded Friday morning, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 3:44 a.m. in the 4500-block of West Fifth Avenue.



Police said the victims were outside when they were shot and further details on the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available

A 31-year-old man was shot in the chest and self-transported to RUSH Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.



The man was later identified as 31-year-old Keshawn M. Ramseur, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

A 26-year-old woman was shot in the leg and self-transported to RUSH Hospital, where she was listed as stable, police said. Another 31-year-old man was wounded in the leg and self-transported to RUSH Hospital, where he was listed as stable.

No one is in custody as police investigate.
