4 shot, 2 critically injured, in Auburn Gresham, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Four people were shot Saturday evening on the city's South Side.

The shooting happened around 7:17 p.m. in the 8500 block of South Sangamon Street in Auburn Gresham, Chicago police said.



The victims, a 43-year-old man, a 34-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman and a male whose age was unknown, were at the location when multiple offenders inside a vehicle fired shots at them, police said.

The 43-year-old was shot in the leg, and the victim whose age was not known was shot in the abdomen, CPD said. They were both taken to hospitals in critical condition.



The other two victims were also shot, but they declined medical attention, police said.

No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
