Man shot, killed in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood identified by officials

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man shot and killed on the city's South Side has been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.



The shooting happened on Saturday at about 2 a.m. in the 6500-block of South Laflin Street in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Two people approached a 29-year-old man and started shooting at him, police said.

The victim died at the scene. He was identified as Enderson Linares by the medical examiner.



The suspects drove off in a blue car northbound on Laflin Street.

No other information was available.
