Man charged with killing woman on Southeast Side in 'domestic disturbance', Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man has been charged with shooting and killing a woman in a "domestic disturbance," Chicago police said.



The shooting happened on Monday at about 2:37 a.m. in the 9600-block of S. Avenue N in the East Side neighborhood, police said.

Officers responded to a call of a "domestic disturbance," and found a 27-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds.

The woman died at the scene, police said.



Joel Quintero Cristian, 29, was taken into police custody shortly after the shooting.

He is facing two felony charges for murder.

A woman was shot to death in a domestic disturbance on Monday, Chicago police said.



Police said a weapon was recovered at the scene.



Quintero Cristian is due in court on Wednesday for a detention hearing.
