Man, woman found fatally shot inside car near University of Chicago's campus: police

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man and woman were found fatally shot in a car near University of Chicago's campus Thursday afternoon, Chicago police said.

CPD responded about 5:35 p.m. to the 5900-block of South Ellis Avenue in Hyde Park and found a 27-year-old woman and 24-year-old man with gunshots wounds to their heads, police said.



Both were taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, where they were later pronounced dead, CPD said.

A weapon was found in the car, according to police.
