Man killed in Humboldt Park drive-by shooting, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a deadly drive-by shooting in Humboldt Park on Sunday.



The shooting happened at about 8:48 a.m. in the 2700-Block of W. Thomas Street, Chicago police said.

A 29-year-old man was outside when he was was shot at by someone traveling in a silver car, police said.



The victim was shot in the torso and taken to Mt. Sinai hospital where he later died, police said.



The victim's identity has not been released.

CPD Area Three detectives are investigating.
