Man killed in West Garfield Park shooting ID'd: officials

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a deadly shooting on the city's West Side.



The shooting happened at about 8:37 a.m. in the 4800-block of West Lake Street, police said.

A man, 25, was outside when two suspects approached in a black SUV, police said.

The suspects got out of the SUV and started shooting.



The victim was shot in the neck and in the back. He was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

Chicago police said he died at the hospital. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office later identified him as Sencere D. Riley.

The suspects fled eastbound in the SUV, police said.

Nobody is in custody.
