Person found shot to death inside hotel room on Near South Side, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A person was found shot to death inside of a hotel room Thursday on West 26th Street on the Near South Side

The body was found around 1:05 p.m. in the 0-100 block of West 26th Street, Chicago police said.



A male victim was found in a hotel room with a gunshot wound to the neck, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's age and identity were not yet known.



No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate the death as a homicide.
