3 shot in Chicago's Lawndale neighborhood, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a triple shooting on the city's West Side on Sunday morning.



The shooting happened at about 7:11 a.m. in the 600-block of South Independence Boulevard, according to police.

Three people were outside when two people drove up and started shooting.

Police said the suspects drove off in an unknown location.



A 25-year-old man was shot in the body; he was taken to Sinai hospital in critical condition.

A 28-year-old woman was shot in the body; she was taken to Stroger hospital in serious condition.

A 30-year-old man was shot multiple times; he was taken to Sinai hospital in serious condition.

No other information was available.
