Group shoots at man in Roseland, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was shot on Chicago's South Side on Thursday, police said.



The shooting happened at about 4:47 a.m. in the 10300-block of South Michigan Avenue, police said.

A 34-year-old man said he was outside when a group approached him and started shooting.

The 34-year-old was shot in the thighs, legs and forearm.



He drove to the 11500-block of South Forest Avenue where he was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital.

Chopper 7 was over the scene on Forest Avenue where some buses were temporarily rerouted.



At last check, police said the victim was in "fair" condition.

No other injuries were reported.
