Man killed, other seriously hurt in Englewood shooting, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was killed and another was seriously hurt in a South Side shooting on Sunday, Chicago police said.



The shooting happened at about 1 a.m. in the 1400 block of W. 65th Street, police said.

Two men were outside when a light-colored car pulled up and someone started to shoot.

The suspects drove off northbound on Laflin Street, police said.



A 30-year-old man was shot multiple times in the body. He was taken to University of Chicago, where he died.

A 32-year-old man was shot multiple times and was taken to Christ Hospital in serious condition.

Chicago police said no other information was available.+
