The shooting happened just after midnight in the 4200-block of West Cermak Road, police said.
A man, 35, was outside when a group approached him and someone started shooting.
The 35-year-old man was shot in the chest. He was taken to Mt. Sinai hospital, where he died.
Nobody is in custody.
CPD said no other information was available.
