16-year-old killed in Chatham shooting identified by officials

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 16-year-old boy has been identified as the victim of a South Side shooting over the weekend in Chicago.



The shooting happened at about 1:34 a.m. in the 7700-Block of S. Rhodes Avenue, according to police.



CPD said the boy was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. He died at the scene.



He was identified as Stephon Jacobs by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No arrests have been made.
