Woman killed, teen wounded after gunfire enters Chatham home, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was killed and a teen boy wounded inside a Chatham home after gunfire came through a window Friday morning, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 12:50 a.m. in the 7600-block of South Eberhart Avenue.



Police said a bullets came through a window and struck a 37-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy.

The woman was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The boy was wounded in the hand and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was in good condition.



Area Two Detectives are investigating.
