The shooting took place at about 12:17 a.m. in the 4500-block of South Wood Street.
Police said the woman was driving a Silver SUV south on Wood Street when she was struck by gunfire and crashed into a parked SUV.
The woman was shot multiple times and transported to Stroger Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Area One detectives are investigating.
